Ready to start sewing? Join us for a beginner-friendly tote bag sewing class and learn the basics while creating a practical bag you’ll be proud to carry! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to cut and sew your fabric, work with a lining, create sturdy straps, and assemble your very own reusable tote bag. No advanced sewing experience is needed—this class is designed for beginners and those looking to build their confidence with a sewing machine. Bring your own sewing machine if you have one, or let us know in advance if you need to borrow a studio machine. Supplies to Bring: -Your sewing machine, if you have one. If you need to borrow a studio machine, please let us know in advance. -2 yards of non-stretch fabric for the outside of your bag. Recommended fabrics include heavy linen, denim, cotton duck, cotton canvas, or cotton/linen blends. -2 yards of non-stretch fabric for the lining. Lightweight cotton is a good choice. -Thread in the color of your choice. Come ready to learn, sew, and leave with a handmade tote bag you can use every day!
