Garment Sewing Class Ready to create your own handmade clothing? In this three-session garment sewing class, instructor Shanna, who holds a BFA in Fashion Design, will guide you through the process of sewing a garment using a commercial pattern of your choice. You'll learn techniques for reading patterns, cutting fabric, constructing your garment, and building the skills and confidence to continue sewing on your own. This class is designed for students who have completed our Intro to Sewing Machine class or who already have basic familiarity with operating a sewing machine. Please bring: A garment pattern (simple skirts, dresses, shirts, or pants are recommended) Fabric and all notions listed on your pattern (thread, zipper, buttons, elastic, etc.) Your sewing machine, if you have one A studio sewing machine will be available for participants who do not own a machine.
